About Sibling Strong

Sibling Strong is a non-profit organized under IRC Section 501(c)(3) that drives to empower and connect Glass Children. We are driven by a passion to create a nonprofit dedicated to supporting children, teenagers, and adults who have siblings with disabilities. Through our siblings' struggles and triumphs, they have taught us the true essence of resilience, love, and compassion.

 

 Glass children are said to be the siblings of kids who have disabilities. They are called glass children not because they are fragile or easily shattered but because caregivers tend to see straight through them and neglect their needs more because they have to be so focused on the person who has a disability, who often navigates their own complex emotions in silence. 

 

We envision a world where these children, teenagers and adults are not overlooked but embraced, where their voices are heard, and their experiences validated. Our goal is to create a sanctuary of understanding and support, where these people can find solace, strength, and a sense of belonging.

 

We believe that by coming together as a community, we can create a ripple effect of kindness and empathy that will resonate far beyond our immediate circle.

 

Through our nonprofit, we will provide resources, guidance, and a loving community where 'glass children' can find comfort in knowing they are not alone.

 

Together, we can transform lives, one heart at a time, and create a world where every glass child feels cherished, valued, and supported, regardless of the challenges they face.
